Charles C. Chang
Certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation
by the Law Society of Upper Canada
In His Own Words:
I am a commercial litigation lawyer and advocate who is certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Over more than a decade specializing in litigation and advocacy, I have appeared as lead counsel at every level of court in Ontario representing and advocating for my clients on motions (including injunctions), applications and trials in the Superior Court of Justice and on appeals in the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal. I have also acted for clients before various administrative tribunals.
I have had the privilege of representing the interests of individuals, organizations and businesses (ranging in size from small local businesses to large multi-national corporations) in the resolution and, if necessary, litigation of commercial disputes across a broad range of diverse and challenging issues.
I pride myself in being available to, and open and forthright with, my clients to assist them in resolving their legal issues and ensuring that their interests are safeguarded.
Although our clients are our firm’s most valued asset, I am a very strong believer in the proper education, training and encouragement of our law students, lawyers, law clerks and staff – not just on the letter and spirit of the law, but also in providing the highest levels of service to our clients. As such, I enthusiastically dedicate significant time to coaching our “next generation” of legal professionals and, over the course of my career, have been directly involved in the hiring and training of articling students and associates.
